"This place was a total dump"
This place felt filthy. The floors were sticky, the bathrooms smelled awful, and the tables looked like some lazy slob hadn’t bothered cleaning them all day. I definitely wouldn’t rush back.

"Fun visit, but weekends seem to get packed"
We had a fun time at Miami Children’s Museum, and my kids were really into the play areas. Based on how busy it was when we went, I’m assuming weekends are usually the crowded time there, because there were families everywhere.
A few areas had lines, and it got a little hard to keep track of the kids with so many people moving around. I’d still say it’s worth going, but if I went again, I’d probably try to get there earlier or pick a weekday if possible.

"Staff were alright, but nothing special"
The staff were okay overall. A few people were friendly and helpful, but others seemed tired or not super engaged 😕
"Classes and camps didn’t live up to the hype"
I really wanted this to be better, but the whole thing felt disorganized. The schedule was confusing and seemed to change or not match what we were told, and my kid was bored most of the time. They use a lot of nice-sounding language about the experience, but it didn’t line up with what we actually got. For the price, I wouldn’t do it again

"Pretty tough to manage with a toddler"
It felt a little too chaotic for us with a toddler. There was a lot going on at once, like people moving around everywhere, noise, not much space to slow down, and it just didn’t feel very toddler-friendly. I kept having to watch for little things, like where my kid could safely stand, whether we were in someone’s way, where to sit for a minute, how to handle snacks, how to calm them down, all of that. It might be fine for older kids or adults, but with a toddler it was kind of stressful...

"Parking made the visit more stressful"
The museum itself was nice, but the parking situation kind of started the visit off on the wrong foot. It took us way too long to find a spot, and the nearby options were expensive and a little confusing. With the kids along, it just made everything feel more stressful than it needed to be, if that makes sense

"Probably better for younger kids"
This place seems like it would be a lot more fun for younger kids. My older kid got bored quickly, and it didn’t help that we kept getting different answers from staff about what activities were available and how things worked. It was a little frustrating trying to figure it all out

This was a really good option for a rainy day. The ticket prices felt fair, and the kids were happily busy for hours. We definitely felt like we got our money’s worth.

"Fun for the Kids, But They Really Need to Manage It Better"
The kids did have fun, and a few of the exhibits were great. But it was way too crowded, and it felt like they just kept letting people in without caring how packed it got. On top of that, a few things were closed, which was really frustrating considering the ticket prices weren’t exactly cheap. If you’re going to charge that much, people should actually be able to enjoy everything without fighting through crowds.

"Felt more like a play area than a museum"
I was expecting a lot more for the price. My kids did have some fun running around, but it felt more like a play space than a children’s museum with actual learning activities. We didn’t really come away learning anything new, which was disappointing. It seems like a preventable issue if they added more hands-on educational exhibits or better explanations throughout

"Fun events, but crowded..."
The kids had a good time and really liked the events... it was just a bit too crowded for us to fully relax and enjoy everything.

"Fun afternoon with the kids"
We had a fun visit with the kids. They were completely obsessed with the pretend grocery store and the water play area, because apparently nothing beats fake shopping and getting slightly damp. A few spots were a little crowded and looked like they’ve seen better days, but overall it kept the kids happy and busy for the afternoon, so I’m calling that a win.

"Nice little cafe stop after the exhibits"
The cafe was decent after walking through the exhibits. The snacks were good, though compared to other museum cafes I’ve been to, I was hoping for a few more options to choose from.

"We took the kids here over the weekend..."
We took the kids here over the weekend, kind of in a rush, and they still managed to have a good time. Some of the exhibits were really cute and hands-on, which they loved, but a few areas definitely looked like they’d seen better days, with buttons not working or pieces missing.
For what we paid, I expected it to feel a little more maintained. It wasn’t a bad stop by any means, especially since the kids stayed entertained, but I left feeling like the place could use some repairs and updating.

"I was let down by the staff..."
I was let down by the staff during our visit. We only had a couple of basic questions, but the answers felt really short, almost like we were interrupting them. Maybe it was just a busy or off day, but from our experience, no one seemed especially interested in helping us figure out where to go or what to do next.
The place itself could probably be a lot of fun for kids, depending on what you’re looking for, but the staff’s attitude made the whole visit feel more stressful than it needed to be. For the price, I expected at least a little patience and basic friendliness. I’m not sure I’d rush back unless I heard the service had improved.

"Seemed a bit neglected during my visit"
When I stopped by recently, the inside just felt kind of dirty and worn down. I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, but after spending a little time there, it really seemed like the place could use better upkeep and a proper refresh.
"Gift shop was disappointing"
The museum itself was fine, but the gift shop was a letdown. There was hardly anything fun for kids, mostly just random overpriced little items. My kid really wanted to pick out a souvenir, and we ended up leaving with nothing. I also felt like I had to chase them a bit just to get any help, which made it even more frustrating. I expected a lot better from a children’s museum.

"I’ll be honest, I went in already..."
I’ll be honest, I went in already a little unsure because I’d heard it could get chaotic, and the visit kind of confirmed that for me. It felt crowded, and I kept looking around wondering who was actually keeping an eye on the entrances and the kids’ areas.
Maybe we just caught it on a busy day, but security didn’t seem very noticeable. For a place with that many children running around, I expected it to feel a bit more organized and controlled, and it just didn’t give me that feeling.

"I used miamichildrensmuseum.org while planning a visit..."
I used miamichildrensmuseum.org while planning a visit with my kid, and it was straightforward. I was sitting at the kitchen table with a half-finished iced coffee, trying to check the hours, ticket info, and accessibility details, and I found everything without having to dig around too much. The menu made sense, which I always appreciate. A few bits of text were kind of tiny on my phone, and a couple pages took a little longer to load than I expected, but nothing that made me give up. Overall, it did the job and made planning the visit simple.
